It is quite hard to believe that this class is coming to a close but I am very thankful for having taken it this semester. I feel that I have learned many useful skills through this class that will stick with me in any future career I hold in librarianship. This class has been very interactive even while taking place online which I really loved. At the beginning of this semester, I was incredibly excited about all the new information we were to learn, and now I am satisfied and eager to see how I can apply it in my professional life.
Through taking this course, my eyes have been opened to many useful resources that I expect to utilize more throughout my career. For me, the most valuable platform to learn about was Wakelet through our content curation collections. Being able to store a variety of resources in one location makes research so much easier, and this website allows a user to personalize their findings in a way that makes sense to them.
Another useful skill I have developed through taking EDU/LIS 776 is just increasing my use of the hyperlink function. I used it in previous assignments, but through creating this blog I have become more aware of its benefits in both increasing credibility and accessibility, so I intend to keep using the function when needed.
Overall, it has been a great experience taking this class and I am excited to see how technology changes in the future to find new ways to integrate it into educational programming and instruction.
